National Privacy Principles

The National Privacy Principles established by the Privacy Act 1988 apply to Integrity People Pty Ltd trading as Integrity People.

Integrity People Pty Ltd (Integrity People) understands the importance of confidentiality when it comes to the collection of personal and sensitive information. That is why we take every possible step to ensure that all your confidential information is stored securely.

How your Personal and Sensitive Information will be collected
Personal and sensitive information will initially be collected by Integrity People directly from you when you fill out and submit one of our online enquiry forms, email us your resume, or any other relevant information in connection with your job application. We may also collect personal and sensitive information when you contact us via telephone, letter, fax, e-mail, or visit us at our web site.

Personal and sensitive information will also be collected by Integrity People if we receive: any reference about you, performance feedback, or information concerning any type of investigation, litigation, or disciplinary matter, or criminal in which you are involved.  If you choose not to provide us with the information we request, this may mean that we are unable to assist you to the best of ability in the services that we provide.


Who will be collecting your Personal and Sensitive Information
Your personal and sensitive information will be collected by Integrity People for use in processing your job application. All personal and sensitive information provided including name, address, email address, telephone numbers, employment and educational history, referees are all retained solely for the purposes of facilitating your job seeking efforts.

How we use your Personal and Sensitive Information
Personal and sensitive information is used by Integrity People, our consultants, clients, referees, agents, contractors and / or professional advisors in processing your application for recruitment purposes only.  This may involve:

  • Assessing your suitability for placement in a position
  • Assessing your performance
  • Dealing with any complaint or investigation involving you
  • Dealing with any insurance claim or proposal where personal or sensitive information is required

All personal and sensitive information will be treated in the strictest confidence and will not be passed on to any third parties without your prior written consent (except as required by law).

Unless you advise us otherwise, we will destroy any personal or sensitive information that we hold about you, if it has not been changed or updated by you, for a period of 7 years.  If you are not successful in your application, we reserve the right to destroy any personal or sensitive information that we hold about you, after 1 year. 
Any personal or sensitive information destroyed, will be destroyed in a secure and confidential manner.
 

Who will be given access to your Personal and Sensitive Information
The following persons or organisations may be given access to your Personal and Sensitive Information:

  •  Our clients who are employers with whom you may be placed or are placed
  •  Persons named by you as referees
  •  Our contractors who we engage to assist us with our work
  •  Our insurers in circumstances where there is a claim involving you
  •  Workcover
  •  Our professional advisers

Access to personal and Sensitive Information

You are entitled (with some legal exceptions) to view any personal and sensitive information that we have about you. 

If you are of the opinion that the personal or sensitive information we have about you is incorrect or out of date, please notify us at your earliest convenience.  We will make every endeavour to ensure that all information we hold about you is accurate and up to date. 

Storage and Security
Integrity People takes every possible step to ensure we protect the personal and sensitive information that we collect. Personal and sensitive information will be managed confidentially and securely and destroyed appropriately when no longer required. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal and sensitive information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, we cannot guarantee the security of any personal or sensitive information. Please be advised that Integrity People does not accept any responsibility for any misuse, loss or unauthorised access to such information.

Notification of Changes
Integrity People constantly strives to improve its service and from time to time it may be necessary for us to review this policy. We reserve the right to amend this policy at any time and to notify you of any amendments by posting an updated version of the policy on our website.
